I’m a Perth-based artist originally from Scotland. I relocated to Australia in 2005 after completing an honours degree in Fine Art Printmaking at the prestigious Gray’s School of Art, Robert Gordon’s University in Aberdeen. Trained in traditional and contemporary printmaking practices including etching, screenprinting, lithography, wood and lino printing. Since then I’ve developed a professional practice that balances a focused studio practice where I create my personal artwork and also work on public and community commissions, exhibiting regularly and partnering with government agencies, schools, and small businesses on site-specific projects.
My studio work is informed by a deep appreciation of nature, especially the nature which is in my immediate surroundings and an interest in how personal objects shape the way we live and present ourselves. My ongoing work centres on representing the natural world through botanical and nature themed work and the personal world through still life. I work across mediums to produce figurative, representational pieces with echoes of Art Deco and Art Nouveau.
My work has received several prizes and is in the collections of WA and UK institutions.
Alongside my studio practice I deliver residencies, workshops, and commissioned public artworks, working collaboratively with communities and organisations to create meaningful, lasting pieces.

I have been building my arts practice steadily over the years and currently stock several galleries in Perth and through online galleries.
My painting ‘A Spoonful of Sugar” was selected for Scotty’s kitchen on The Block 2022 through a collaboration with Art Lovers Australia.
