The art deco inspired arched vase is filled with washes of blue which contrast with the yellows in the tablecloth and background. Stylized bottlebrush and hakea flowers and large gumnuts fill the vase. The leaves and flowers are filled with washes of watercolours and defined by ink linework. Secondary linework dissects the image, giving a look of stained glass.

Painted on 300gsm cotton rag watercolour paper with archival quality ink and watercolours.
