Buttons and Brush is a quiet still life of an organic vase with billy buttons and bottlebrush flowers depicted in a stylized manner.

Warm brown and yellow washes of colour make up the remaining space adding to the paintings warmth. Black ink linework gives the effect of stained glass while adding to the tonal depth.
