Description

Coral Garden is a large watercolour and ink vista of an underwater world of coral, rock, seaweed and grass with fish flitting past and seahorses clinging onto the grasses.

The colours of the elements are depicted through washes of subtle and bold colour with an overlay of ink line work to provide areas of tighter detail.

Each element is stylized and reimagined as part of the composition pulling you into the calm nature of the underwater world.

Watercolour washes fill the spaces created by the ink line work and makes the piece look like stained glass. The ink line work picks out each element of the image with an overlay of organic expressive lines to hold it all together.
