Kookaburra Jug is a vibrant still life filled with native elements.

A blue striped vase and a kookaburra decorated jug hold bouquets of waratah, billy buttons, bottlebrush, wattle and flowering gums.

The jug contains its own scene of a perched kookaburra against a stylized landscape and is secondary to the overall still life image.

Using a vibrant palette of rich watercolour washes, black pen and ink linework overlays and connects the elements within the image to emphasize the luminosity of the watercolour and makes for a stained glass effect.
