Rainbow Trout Linocut

Print on paper

Signed and numbered on the front

Rainbow Trout is inspired by my childhood memories of growing up in Scotland’s North East where my family spent a lot of time fishing rivers and lakes for freshwater fish.’

I always loved the patterns and shapes on these fish, especially the rainbow trout. I have depicted the fish as being underwater and balance the intricate carving on the fish with an expressive graphic carving on the rocks.

This four layer reduction print is monochromatic interpretation in shades of green. Printed using Graphic Chemical and Lawrence oil-based inks on 300gsm Bockingford paper. It is an unframed limited edition of three original prints and is signed, numbered and titled in the front with a generous border for framing.

The printed area is 29 x 21.5cm on 30 x 42 cm paper
