Description

This still life is study of beautiful banksias in a bouquet with dyed eucalyptus leaves in a vibrant yellow jug.

The bold yellow contrasts with the purples and blues while being picked up by the banksia flowers creating a richly coloured image. The majestic banksias leaves extend upwards and outwards with the eucalyptus leaves flowing beyond.

There is a balance of bold and intricate linework on top of textured and light filled watercolour washes. Watercolour washes fill the spaces created by the ink line work and makes the piece look like stained glass.

Painted with artists quality materials on 300gsm textured watercolour paper.
