Description

Rpsea is a beautiful gum blossom with bright pink brush like stamen depicted in watercolour and ink.

The flowers and leaves are portrayed in a stylized manner with curving lines and organic shapes filled with washes of watercolour. This simple composition is filled with areas of transparent colour and light which accentuate the dark and bolder areas of colour.

The ink work both emphasizes the elements and holds them together as one image.. The watercolour areas are a combination of loose and more concentrated washes of paint on a beautifully textured paper.

The painting is on 300gsm Arches watercolour paper and painted with artists quality watercolours and ink. The black border is torn at the edges to replicate a deckled edge.
