Description

Western Spinebills feature in my work a lot as I love their contrasting colours, bold shapes and recogbnisable sillhouettes. In this painting I am playing with repetion, the birds are mirrored images of one another and the flowers are repeated randomly throughout the composition. The small birds are almost disguised by the busy-ness of the flowers.

Painted with artists quality materials on 300gsm watercolour paper.
